Saw this interesting apartment on Apartment Therapy and I’m still struggling to determine how I feel about it. On the one hand, I love the structure of the apartment and the murals; yet, I wonder if going dark was a big mistake. How would you have decorated this space? What are your interior design thoughts?

Every chair must be covered in cleanable, stain proof fabric. Here I used an outdoor fabric from Groundworks to keep dinner messes at a minimum.

A place for everything and everything in its place. The blue tack board keeps important papers at reach and a built-in desk area for two is great for mom and young students. Note the glass pocket door into the family room- so mom can see but not necessarily hear the kids at play!
